So I realized yesterday that when I think of my "family"' I'm thinking of those siblings who I trust to have my back, who tell me the truth in love, who are willing to go the extra mile for me, and who are interested in who I really am and not in who they need me to be to satisfy the preservation of the family myth. In truth, I don't have 6 sisters and 2 brothers - I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers, still more than many people are blessed with! And I love these siblings with all my heart!
Update 6/16/2014 - If you started at the beginning, you know that I'm down to 1 sister and 1 brother - still more than many people have - and hopefully, this is the final count...
